It took 10 episodes for this to finally get good? Episode 11-13 have been great so far. Where was all this excitement before?

14-16. Wow. Just wow. Not only are the battles more varied and teamwork FINALLY coming into play, but there's also a good number of rivals to look forward to. The gunpla academy, the meijins, and even build busters all get me excited for more. Also despite the massive amounts of love Fumina gets, I think I like Shia out of all the girls thus far. There's something about her honest love for gunpla and interest in Sei that strikes me more than the comrade atmosphere from him with Fumina. Plus her G-portent is absolutely gorgeous! Shout-out to Minato's Tryon 3 for being cheesy, yet awesome. 17. Damn! Those SDs can sure wreck some shit metal gear solid style! Fumina finally gets her shining moment and we now have a battle that lasts over one ep. Can't wait to see what those triplets can do in a mobile armor.

18. I thought the previous episode proved Fumina's worth as a fighter, but this brought that to a whole different level. Now it's hard to cheer for either Shia or Fumina, but I can't wait to see their battle. 19-20. Honestly this was one of the weaker battles both inside and outside the battle. Junya feels like a character that should've been given more screentime and created more impact to fit his role as a thorn from the past. Sekai didn't learn anything or change much aside from getting a new power-up despite being beat the crap out of. Also Junya sure changed his ideals quickly despite being faced with the ideals he was against the exact same way as before. Hope the last 5 eps go back to the quality of the previous ones.

21-22. Didn't really care much for European champion winner, but really for all his build-up his strategy was just to have portable fuel spots? LAME! On the other hand, the battle between Try fighters and Try-on 3 was STUPIDLY AWESOME! Yes it beam-spammed as much as the latter battles in Gundam Seed Destiny, but the whole thing is so macho and over-the-top i'm willing to enjoy it. Also Yuuma and Minato were one of the few rivalries so far that seemed to pay-off by the end. I get the feeling Sekai is just mindlessly plowing through his battles without learning anything, even after facing defeat multiple times now.

23-25. As much as I liked the final battle between Try Fighters and Celestial Sphere, it also felt very rushed seeing them immediately use their super moves. I also think these last 3 episodes kind of highlight my problems with this show: it's really just sequel-bait meant to appease gundam fans. They didn't really use the team set-up that often, the characters remain virtually the same throughout the 25 ep run, and there was absolutely nothing to the story except witnessing a generic tournament. If you're going to make the battles and build-up so short, shouldn't you fill up the time with subplots or character arcs? I like the show, and i'd like to see more. But I can't help thinking that this season was slow, uneventful, and kind of lacking even when it came to battles. Hopefully the previous season will be better, considering this is my introduction into Build Fighters.
I will admit that while the ending doesn't give any closure, it sure is fun to see everyone just join a battle royale over Minato making Super Fumina. Seeing so many gundam of different varieties duke out for no reason only to make up in the end definitely brings a smile. Plus indications of Shia training with Sekai is always a plus in my book.
